The Neelin JR Boys are a young team this year. With only 4 grade 10 players on the squad, our grade 9 players are going to have to step up and play a large role. The improvement we've already seen in a month of practices has been phenomenal. Our rookies have been expected to learn the Neelin system from square one, and they are rising to the challenge. Offensively we will rely on our transitions game to score. We are a quick team and we'll use this to our advantage at all times. Smart decisions and effective ball movement will drive our half court set. On the defensive side, we'll use our athleticism to hound the ball carriers and force turnovers. Communication, pressure and a commitment to team defense will lead is back into our transitions game. Our Goals for this year are to win the City Championship and make a run at Provincials. |
